Thank you for visiting. Tippy's is a family-owned tribal marketplace serving the Florida Everglades for over 20 years. We invite your group to stop in, shop, sightsee, dine*, or embark on a guided Everglades tour by airboat.

Learn our story and see how we keep tradition alive by cultural preservation and environmental awareness as well as employment and other policies that put you, our community, and our customers first.

OUR STORY

Local alligator wrestler "Tippy" as he was known, envisioned a community market located between the two areas of residences on the reservation off US 41. Our founder lived right across the street, raising alligators as well as live bait and fresh produce, to be later sold at market. Our founder and his wife ran the store together for many years, gaining a following with the local community and travelers alike.

One of the final projects our founder completed was the addition of a multi-level dock and sightseeing area overlooking the Everglades waterfront. From this structure our history in food preparation of baked goods and light meals grew into an award-winning service now a seasonal dining venue. Shortly after, we began catering to travelers with a cultural tour service focusing on education and adventure.

To this day we remain a friendly, local market you can always feel free to stop in at for a moment and look around. We remain a family-owned tribal endeavor now staffed by trained associates ready to serve you.

THE MARKET

Tippy's is more than just a store, it's a local landmark and part of the community. It's a place where locals and travelers can feel welcome, shop, sightsee, and chat with one another. While we have always tailored our selection to meet local needs, we carry nearly any item needed at home, outdoors, or on the road. All structures were hand-built locally utilizing centuries-old construction methods of palm leaves and Cypress logs.

Outside a furnished outdoor lounge offers for enjoyment of the Everglades waterfront. On-site wildlife habitats, natural and man-made are available. WARNING: Wild alligators please be aware of surroundings at all times.

SERVICES

Did you know we first began offering baked goods and light meals over 15 years ago? Whether it's the traditional dining environment enjoyed with on-site dining or the historical destinations visited on our eco-tours, every service works together to sustain the market and preserve local and tribal history.

UPHOLDING TRADITION

We provide a traditional shopping environment in-line with culturally-accepted practices for tribal commerce and employment. Every service we offer has the same vision: sharing and preserving local culture and history while sustaining the marketplace.

ECO-TOURS BY AIRBOAT

Following consultation with locals and wildlife directors a new service with a purpose of cultural preservation quickly took root. A new line of tour programs, destinations, facility upgrades, and after-tour extras allow our tours to operate as an independent service with a leading edge offering island destinations and a quality tour experience without the crowded, rushed feel of a typical tourist attraction. Five years and thousands of guests later we continue to offer exciting and memorable experiences on and off the island camps of the Florida Everglades.
